Literature Update — December 2009

This regular e-update is provided by the Academy to raise awareness of current research in orthotics and prosthetics outside of the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO).

Search terms used were "orthotic devices" and "artificial limbs"
for the period of December 2009.
Results were edited for clinical relevance.

The full text of this article is
available for free.

This article is a discussion spurred by recent events related to the discussion of whether the use of artificial limbs in Olympic sprinting events constitutes an artificial advantage. This pair of articles is set-up much like an editorial pro/con debate for the topic.

The individual article format and availability
(either full text or abstract form) is at the discretion of the article's respective publisher.
